See every tax deadline coming, with the amount.

Moving from Wave or Zoho Books?

Wave no longer sends invoices outside the US and Canada. Zoho Books is a big general suite without Nigerian payroll. BizBooks is built for Nigerian companies that bill clients and pay a team, and it brings your clients, invoices and retainers across from either one in minutes.

Questions

Who is BizBooks for?

Registered Nigerian companies where invoicing is part of everyday business: digital and creative agencies, software and IT firms, consultancies, marketing and PR, engineering, logistics and facility management. Freelancers who bill companies use it too.

Is it really free to start?

Yes. Every new business gets 30 days of Pro free, with no card needed, and can earn up to 21 more days by setting up. After that, invoicing, quotes, online payments, expenses, the dashboard and tax tracking stay free, with payroll for up to 3 people. Pro adds automation (recurring invoices and expenses without limits, automatic reminders), payroll for your whole team, deposits on quotes and your own branding.

Does BizBooks hold our money?

No. With BizBooks Payments, clients pay through Paystack and the money settles straight to your company's bank account; our ₦500 fee is deducted by Paystack, not held by us. You can also connect your own Paystack or Flutterwave account, or take bank transfers. Either way, BizBooks never holds or moves your money.

How is BizBooks different from Zoho Books?

Zoho Books' Nigeria edition handles VAT, WHT and e-invoicing, but Zoho Payroll isn't available in Nigeria and Paystack needs an add-on. BizBooks includes 2026 PAYE, pension and NHF payroll, takes payments through your own Paystack or Flutterwave account, tracks every Nigerian tax deadline and offers done-for-you bookkeeping. You can import your Zoho Books invoices and clients in minutes.

We use Wave today. Why switch?

Wave no longer sends invoices or reminders for businesses outside the US and Canada, and its payments don't support Nigerian gateways. BizBooks sends invoices and reminders, takes payments through Paystack and Flutterwave, and handles Nigerian VAT, WHT, PAYE and pension. Import your Wave history from a CSV export and your retainers keep running.

Does it run payroll and PAYE?

Yes. Add your staff and contractors once and each month BizBooks works out PAYE under the 2026 tax bands, pension, NHF and withholding tax, gives you payslips and a bank upload file, and records the cost in your books. You pay from your own bank.

Will it file our taxes?

It works out what you owe and when (VAT, PAYE, pension, WHT) and gives your accountant clean reports. Filing and payment still happen through the tax authorities' channels; you mark each one as remitted and the reminders stop.
